Integrating with Facebook: what it means and how to do it

Hi all! Hope you enjoyed the session. If you'd like another go-around on Facebook integration, with updated information (a lot can change in 6 months!) and live examples, I've submitted a follow-up session for DrupalCon Denver called Facebook Integration : Concise Theory and Practice

=====

Sharing, liking, connecting, pages, apps... You probably want your site integrated with Facebook. If you're like me about 6 months ago, you have only a vague idea of what that means, and no clue how to do it. This workshop will explain the different ways that a website can be integrated with Facebook, what each one means, and which Drupal modules you'll need for the following:

* sharing links to Facebook
* social plugins
* the two different types of liking
* Facebook pages
* Facebook's opengraph protocol (yo Mark, what's with that name anyhow? it's nonsense!)
* a Facebook app
* site login through Facebook

By the end of the presentation, you will at least have a handle on the different ways of integrating with Facebook, a clear idea of how to do most of them, and a good framework for understanding any further documentation that you'll have to read.

NOTE:Immediately following this session, at 3pm, there will also be a BOF on the Drupal for Facebook suite of modules, which is the best solution for a number of requirements.
