Acquia Cloud now supports multi-region/multi-datacenter replication and failover. We can now sync code, files and databases securely across regions and continents. This talk covers the details of the technologies used; including tungsten-replicator, rsync, stunnel, and Acquia Cloud. These technologies allow us to deploy highly available, distributed clusters. A large news organization is now using Managed Cloud to geographically distribute their websites across 12 web servers, 4 database servers, and 4 load balancers.
