Core Developer Summit at BADcamp

BADCamp is only a few short weeks away, and with nearly 1,300 attendees so far, it’s guaranteed to be a blast!

One of the key events at BADCamp is the Core developer summit. What is it? How does it work? I’m so glad you asked!

The Core Developer Summit, an idea first pioneered at DrupalCon SF, is an opportunity for key contributors (and folks who wish to join their ranks) to collaborate closely on tough problems. The structure of the day is a combination of “lightning talks” (short presentations) on how to improve Drupal, followed by a delicious lunch, and then a code sprint. The sprint will be a mix of people hacking on items discussed during the talks, or whatever else the folks assembled want to work on. :)

Sound like fun? We’d love to see you there! But please note that attendance to this event is limited to the folks who are listed in MAINTAINERS.txt and those who submit a talk, in true “do-ocracy” fashion. The focus of the event is digging in on tough problems and collaborating together to make real improvements. Hope to see you there!
